An easy way to integrate to other android applications (startActivityForResult)
Like barcode scanners... An app could then send you the text or the filename using classic Android startActivityForResult method!

Auto de-indent with backspace in Python mode (an others, perhaps as an configuration option)
Part of the configuration is auto-indent mode (e.g. for python) and the number of spaces to be substituded with TABs. With this, all is known to backspaces the same amount of spaces when the backspace key is hit. I would like this feature very much and I'm wondering whether this is not already possible but I can't find related settings.

Remove "failed to upload file" dialog and reconnect instead.
If your ftp connection times out while you are working on a remote file, I would prefer that the app handled the disconnect more gracefully when you go to save it.
As of now, saving a file:
1. Menu, Open Remote File, make a bunch of changes.
2. Menu, Save.
[I assume ftp inactive disconnect here]
3. Dialog, "Failed to upload file."
4. Click Ok.
5. Menu, Save.
6. Dialog, "Connecting, blah blah."
7. Toast message, "Successfully uploaded file..."Here is what I suggest:
1. Menu, Open Remote file, make a bunch of changes.
2. Menu, Save.

Add a optional file browser column
Would be nice if there was a file browser column to the side, similar to how the right-hand document list was implemented, so you could quickly open multiple documents (similar to what's seen in the screenshots here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.codeanywhere). This coupled with the existing tab bar would be awesome.

Close all open files feature
It would be very convenient to have a "Close All" feature so that I don't have to manually close each open file when I have a ton of files open.

Close all open files except current file feature
This would allow the user to close every file that is open except for the file currently being viewed.

Have an option to Keep Screen Awake
It would be great if we have an option to prevent the screen from turning off in Edit / Writers mode, helpful for devices set with lower screen timeouts.

Close icons in document list
On tablet, when I have multiple documents opened, it's complicated to close more of them, you have to click it in document list and then click close icon. I think it would be great to see in document list close icons next to each document, like on webbrowser tabs. Because it happens to me quite often that DroidEdit opens with approx. 10 docs open and I want to close most of them as fast and simply as possible.

Keystroke macros
Add a simple keystroke macro capability. Commands would be to start recording a macro, stop recording a macro and execute the macro.

Add a "quick save" option to tool bar. Too many steps to save a file, currently.
Right now you have to click the the drop menu button, then click save. When making rapid changes to a page, on a web server for instance, I would much rather have a button on the toolbar for save, then there are two less clicks.

Make it remember the cursor or line when switching between files/tabs
Right now DroidEdit jumps to the first line every time. The same goes for rotating the screen.

buenísima
Una gran aplicación, y la versión free no te inunda de publicidas, ademas de que el desarrollador da la opcion de imementar un margen para evitar clicks accidentales. Muy bueno.
